This epoxy glass composite complies with the EP GC 22 norm. It is widely used as construction and insulation material in larger rotating electrical machines, insulation cylinders in transformers.
EP 22 and EP 11 are very similar materials sharing essentially the same electrotechnical properties overall. The practical difference is the temperature index: EP 22 is rated to 160°C against EP11's 180°C. EP 22 has slightly inferior electrical properties compared to EP 11. Cohesion between layers is 400 MPa, against EP 11's 480 MPa.
Please reach out to us for advice on when to use EP 22 or other variants.
Suitable for electrical insulation and other electrical applications.
